Description

The Performance Spalter 200 mm is a professional flat brush made in France, designed for demanding users seeking precision, high coverage, and application comfort. Its robust construction combines an ergonomic plywood handle, a thick copper-plated steel ferrule resistant to corrosion, and high-density pure white extra bristles, ensuring excellent product retention and even release. Its wide format makes it particularly efficient for applying wood saturators, floor varnishes, wood varnishes, wood stains, oils, wood stains (lasures), and acrylic paints. It is perfectly suited for wooden boards around 20 cm wide and is ideal for work on floors, furniture, doors, decks, fences, and staircases. Easy to handle despite its generous size, this spalter brush ensures smooth, streak-free application with no excess build-up, delivering a long-lasting professional finish.

How to Preserve the Quality of Your Brushes Over Time

3 essential best practices to follow:

1. Clean immediately after use

After each application, clean your brush without delay. For water-based products, rinse with lukewarm water and use mild soap if needed. For solvent-based products, start with a suitable solvent (white spirit or turpentine), then finish with soapy water.

2. Dry the brush properly

Once cleaned, gently reshape the bristles to restore their original alignment. Let the brush dry flat or hang it with the bristles facing downward. Never dry it bristles-up, as water may seep into the ferrule and weaken the bristle hold.

3. Store under proper conditions

When the brush is completely dry, store it vertically with the bristles facing upward. Never leave it resting on the bristles, as this may cause permanent deformation.
