How to Use: Staining Your Parquet or Furniture in Light Oak

Surface Preparation (Parquet, Furniture, Woodwork)

The wood must be prepared before applying the Light Oak stain: it must be clean, perfectly dry, dust-free and free of any old coatings (wax, oil, varnish).

On old wood (varnished, oiled): Sanding down to bare wood is mandatory, using an appropriate sander (grits 40, 60 then 100) to ensure proper stain penetration. Stripping and de-waxing are not recommended. Carefully remove all dust.

Exotic or waxed woods: Degrease with acetone after sanding, just before applying the wood stain.
