Precautions before applying the wood cleaner

• Do not use the wood cleaner on tannic woods (oak, chestnut, black locust...).
• During application, wearing safety glasses, gloves, and a mask is recommended.
• Avoid any contact with glass, light metals, and alkali-sensitive substrates.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Avoid contact with skin.
• Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C (41°F).

Instructions for use of the wood cleaner

Application of the Wood Cleaner

• Ready-to-use product, shake well before application
• Ensure the ambient temperature is above 5°C (41°F) to clean the wood.
• Allow 1 liter of wood cleaner for 8 to 10 m² (approx. 85-105 sq ft) for flat surfaces or 4 to 6 m² (approx. 43-65 sq ft) for vertical surfaces
• Apply the wood cleaner in the direction of the wood grain using a brush, roller, or low-pressure sprayer

Leave to Act

• Leave to act for 20-30 minutes without letting it dry, scrub with a stiff scrubbing brush (like a rice straw/couch grass brush) before moving on to the rinsing step.

Rinsing

• For indoor wood such as parquet floors, countertops, furniture, or paneling, wipe away the dirt with a dry cloth, then rinse the surface with a mop or a damp cloth.
• For outdoor wood such as decks, siding, or garden furniture, rinse with a pressure washer, from a reasonable distance.

Drying

• If the wood substrate is very heavily fouled, repeat the operation. Allow to dry thoroughly (24 hours minimum) before applying a primer or a finish on the wood.

Pro Tips

• To assess the final result, carry out a preliminary test of the wood cleaner on a scrap piece or an inconspicuous area.
• Cleaning early in the morning and/or out of direct sunlight is preferable to avoid evaporation of the cleaner before rinsing.
