Marine Wood Saturator SBM600 - Marine Wood Protection, Boat Decks
The Marine Wood Saturator SBM600 is ideal for protecting boat decks, sun decks, teak furniture, terraces and other surfaces in close proximity to a marine environment. Formulated with more than 90% renewable materials, it enables wood to resist the harshest climatic aggressions (UV, bad weather) by offering water-repellent and anti-uv protection without forming a brittle film like marine varnish. Maintenance is easy and does not require sanding. Available in colourless or tinted versions.
The Marine Wood Saturator SBM600 works like a teak oil and ensures the protection of marine woods: boat decks, sun decks, terraces, garden furniture. Formulated with vegetable oil, this saturator nourishes and impregnates the wood to protect it from the harshest weather conditions such as UV, humidity or bad weather.
Thanks to its oiled finish, the Marine Wood Saturator SBM600 is non-film-forming and does not flake over time, unlike a marine varnish.
It can be applied to both horizontal and vertical surfaces. It is suitable for protecting all types of wood and supports: boat decks, terraces, garden furniture by the sea...
Particularly effective on boat wood, this product can be used to protect a boat deck made of teak, a wood species frequently found on boats. To protect boat wood (such as teak for example), the Marine Wood Saturator SBM600 offers an alternative to teak oils which tend to leave a "greasy and sticky" appearance. Above all, it makes the maintenance of boat decks easy as it does not need to be sanded.
The Marine Wood Saturator SBM600 consists of 90% renewable raw materials. Formulated in aqueous phase, it is respectful of the marine environment and the applicator.
Caution : The Marine Wood Saturator SBM600 offers a reinforced protection especially adapted to marine woods (high exposure to UV, humidity). Nevertheless, compared to woods that grow in mild environments, maintenance with a saturator should be more frequent. It should also be noted that the "Colourless (without pigments)" version contains no pigments and protects less from UV rays than the stained versions (Teak or Ipe).

-
On old finishes, strip, clean, or sand down to the raw wood. Dust carefully.
APPLICATION OF THE SATURATOR
-
Ready to use product, shake the saturator well before application for a good dispersion of pigments. No dilution is necessary.

Make sure that the ambient temperature is between +10°C (50F) and +35°C (95F).
-
Apply until saturation (in the direction of the wood grain) with a brush, spalter or roller (short bristles), in 1 regular and fine coat. Apply without interruption to avoid "recoating" effects. Allow to penetrate for a few minutes and then wipe off the excess with a cloth. For very absorbent surfaces, apply a 2nd coat after a minimum drying time of 2 hours without exceeding 24 hours.
DRYING
-
Allow to dry. Complete drying achieved in 24-48 hours. Wait at least 24 hours before putting back into use. Take a few precautions during the first few days.
MAINTAINING MARINE WOOD
-
Maintain as soon as the shade of the wood becomes lighter and duller under the action of the weather and the sun's UV radiation. On clean and dust-free wood, simply apply a new coat of Marine Wood Saturator SBM600. A light ginning can be carried out if necessary.
