Description

The Spalter Performance 150mm is a high-end flat brush made in France, designed to meet the demands of construction professionals and meticulous DIY enthusiasts. It stands out due to its carefully crafted construction, combining an ergonomic plywood handle, a corrosion-resistant copper-plated steel ferrule, and extra pure white bristles with a generous weight. Its remarkable versatility ensures optimal use with all types of products, such as saturators, varnishes, lacquers, oilsstains, wood treatments, and acrylic paints. It is ideal for wooden boards approximately 15 cm wide and is perfectly suited for work on parquet flooring, furniture, doors, fences, decking, and staircases. To maintain its optimal performance, regular maintenance is recommended, including thorough cleaning after each use and storage in a dry place. This brush combines tradition and innovation, ensuring a smooth and streak-free application, making it an essential tool for all your DIY and renovation projects.

To keep your brushes in good condition, it is important to take certain precautions

Here are 3 essential tips to maintain your brushes in good condition:

1. Immediate cleaning.

Always clean your brushes immediately after use, without waiting for the paint to dry. For water-based paints, use warm water and mild soap if needed. For oil-based paints, start by cleaning with an appropriate solvent (turpentine or white spirit) and finish with mild soap.

2. Proper drying

After cleaning, gently reshape the bristles to restore their original shape. Let your brushes dry horizontally or with the bristles facing down, but never with the bristles facing up in a container, as water could seep into the ferrule (the metal part) and loosen the bristles.

3. Correct storage

Once fully dry, store your brushes upright with the bristles facing up. Avoid resting them on their bristles, as this could permanently deform them.
