The Special Parquet Primer PS400 is a pore-filling hard primer for parquet and stairs to prepare the wood before finishing. It improves stain resistance and adhesion while maintaining the natural appearance of the wood. The Special Parquet Primer emphasises the noble grain of the wood. The pore-filling primers increase protection against domestic stains and water.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF THE SPECIAL PARQUET PRIMER
PREPARE THE WOOD

The wood must be clean, dry, dust-free and without traces of old finishes.

On old parquet: remove all traces of old finishes, clean, strip or sand down to the raw wood. Dust carefully.

On new parquet: ready to use.
APPLICATION OF THE SPECIAL PARQUET PRIMER

Ready-to-use product, shake the primer well before application.

Ideal conditions: Temperature between 12°C (53,6 F) and 25°C (77F), dry and draught-free weather.

Apply the parquet primer to a clean, dry and smooth surface using a spalter, brush or roller (short bristles) in the direction of the wood grain.
DRYING

Allow the special parquet primer to dry for at least 2 hours.

Dry to the touch in 1 hour.

Ginnable / Recoverable in a minimum of 2 hours.
FINISHING AFTER APPLICATION OF SPECIAL PRIMER FOR PARQUET

Grit (light sanding) the surface with fine sandpaper (120 grit) to smooth the surface. Dust carefully.

Cover with a finish suitable for interior wood such as the Vitrificateur Parquet VP500
TIPS

To assess the final result, first test the Special parquet primer on a drop or an inconspicuous area.
