The SK600 Teak Saturator effortlessly impregnates wood, preserving its natural beauty and appearance. With its concentrated formula of pigments and UV protection, it maintains and revitalises a natural teak colour. It provides a matte finish for exotic teak wood used outdoors. The saturator does not create a greasy film on the wood and, therefore, does not peel.
Teak, after the saturator is applied, becomes more
resistant to moisture and wear caused by weather conditions and foot traffic. Your wooden structures (terraces, garden furniture, pergolas, tables, and benches) will thus be more durable.
Maintenance is simplified: simply apply a new coat of the product using a flat brush, broom, or sprayer on the wooden surfaces to be refurbished. This tinted saturator contains honey-brown pigments that enhance the colour of your terraces, garden furniture, and teak decking tiles. Additionally, the pigments provide added protection by acting as a filter against the sun’s UV rays.
Applying the teak saturator offers numerous advantages. Moreover, it provides effective protection for teak wood terraces situated near swimming pools, as it resists water stains, greying, and chlorinated water. Saturation penetration limits the absorption of water by the material. Thus, your outdoor exotic wood installations, whether Teak or other species, will be enhanced and beautified.

How to Use the Teak Saturator
The application technique is very simple and consists of three steps: surface preparation, application, and drying.
Surface Preparation
If the new outdoor teak surface is new, it is important to leave it outdoors for 3 to 6 weeks to allow it to breathe and open up for better product absorption. After this period of exposure to weather and sunlight, perform cleaning and dusting. If the outdoor teak surface is grey, dirty, or stained with old finishes, perform a thorough cleaning with our Cleaner N100 (or the concentrated version, Cleaner N140). You can use a brightener such as Brightener DG105 if the wood is clean but only grey. Sand if needed to remove old finishes such as paint or stain.
Drying
Wait 24 hours after applying the saturator to a terrace or teak garden furniture before use. This allows it to dry properly. However, during the first few days, certain precautions must be taken.
Precautions before Application of the Saturator
Here are the precautions to take before applying the saturator:
- Do not apply during rainy periods.
- Do not apply at temperatures below 10°C or above 30–35°C.
- Do not apply on grey, blackened, or mouldy wood.
In the first few days following application, avoid covering the saturated surface to ensure proper drying. Additionally, it is not advisable to move heavy objects onto the surface immediately after application, as this could leave marks.
Professional Tips
The SK600 Teak Saturator can be applied using a sprayer for large surfaces. We recommend testing a small area to evaluate the final result and understand this more technical application method. Ensure a good distribution of the product and smooth it out with a wide, flat brush like a spalter. Exotic woods such as teak should be brushed thoroughly before application if they are new. For older teak surfaces, thorough cleaning may sometimes be necessary to remove deposits and mould with an antifungal product like Cleaner N100. To achieve an optimal colour before applying a saturator, use a brightener like our Brightener DG105.
