Wood Preparation

• Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and dust-free. Remove any traces of previous finishes (paints, stains, oils) and mould.

• Shake the container well for an even distribution of the white tint.

Application and Drying Time

• Apply the White Wood Saturator SBL600 using a brush or a wide, flat spalter brush on dry wood. Touch dry in 4 hours, fully dry in 24 hours.

Number of Coats

• One to two coats for optimal white tint distribution.

• One coat for new decking.

• For older decking or highly absorbent wood, a second coat may be applied.

• Two coats for cladding and vertical surfaces.

• Note that with two coats, the white colour will be more intense than with one coat, creating a stronger whitened effect.

Precautions after Applying the Saturator

It is important to take a few precautions in the first few days:

• Do not cover the wood.

• Avoid moving heavy garden furniture on a terrace during the first few days.

Professional Tips

• For optimal results, apply the White Wood Saturator SBL600 at a temperature between 12°C and 25°C. Avoid applying the saturator in direct sunlight, during high heat, or just before rain.

• Applying a saturator on greying wood may darken the natural colour of your decking, cladding, pergolas, etc., and may not achieve the desired result. Conducting a preliminary test on a small, isolated area provides a preview of the final appearance.

• Always ensure the product is applied to clean and healthy wood.

• A thorough cleaning may be required to remove deposits and mould using an antifungal product like Cleaner N100. To achieve an optimal colour before treatment, use a wood brightener such as our Brightener DG105. Pigmented saturators offer better protection against UV rays and sunlight.
